Teaching Night is one of the best ways to get students to start think about stereotypes and real world problems. Not only that but through the main character Elie, the students can see strong character developments. The Holocaust, in it self, is an important topic to teach because it brings up the issue of Genocide. Night does this and more because it allows students to find textual evidence while getting a little taste of history!
