Night by Elie Wiesel
A 11th Grade Unit
Hello Everyone! My name is Ashley Hill and I teach English at the local high school. I am so thrilled to work in such a fantastic school and am so grateful to have, what I believe as, the best job in the world. I have worked with all high school grade levels and love coming to work each day.
I grew up in a small town called Piper City, Illinois and attended school in northern Illinois my entire life. After leaving for college I went to Western Illinois University where I received my degree in English Education. I also have endorsements in middle school education and social studies.
When I am not reading a good book I love to go to the gym to have some relaxing time, I love theatre and the arts so you will definitly see all sort of creativity and art incorporated into our class. I am also a huge advocate for technology and will be asking my students to do projects using technology.
Miss Hill
In this picture, I am reading Elie Wiesel's Night in a circle discussion. The desks are arranged to have a group discussion about the novel after we read.
I am helping a student better understand the text from a new perspective.
The students can be seen choosing paragraphs from the text to use as examples for their papers.
