As a teacher, it it my goal to teach my students in the most engaging way possible. Harry Potter has been a huge phenomenon for the last 10 years and has toched many lives. Therefore, using Harry Potter as a text will allow for issues such as Social Class to become an easier topic to understand. To teach social class, it is very important to be aware of all of the factors that took place when Rowling was writing Harry Potter. Being that Rowling is from the UK, it is extremely important to understand what Social Class is like and determine if there is a huge similarity between our two countries. Once that is determined, I will be able to teach the students about Harry Potter, in regards to social class, to the best of my ability. It is extrememly important for them to know because it connects them with not only our counry, but with every country that Harry Potter touches.
